Surviving Ourselves

The Seven Seats Project

Seven seats at every table, and one is always yours.

The Seven Seats Project exists so that no woman has to guess whether a door is safe before she walks through it. We build and maintain a public, community-vetted map of businesses and charities that have committed to treating women, especially women in crisis, in recovery, or starting over, with dignity, discretion, and practical help.

Every seat is earned by nomination and confirmed by our team. We publish only what we can stand behind, we never publish a survivor's story without her consent, and we remove a listing the moment it stops being safe.

Our promise: a warm room, a straight answer, and a hand that reaches back.

How a seat is earned

  1. 1. A member or visitor nominates a business or charity.
  2. 2. Two independent confirmations from the community.
  3. 3. Our team contacts the owner and reviews the commitment.
  4. 4. Approved seats appear on the public map below.
